A Kaleidoscope of Color

Arlington Street Church and its Tiffany Treasures

Arlington Street Church Tiffany Stained Glass Windows

At 351 Boylston Street in Boston, history and art intersect beautifully at the Arlington Street Church. Nestled between bustling streets and the tranquil Boston Public Garden, this church is a place where art, light, and peace come together in a spectacular display.

The church’s tall spire invites visitors to step inside for a quiet moment or to marvel at one of Boston's best-kept secrets: its collection of Tiffany stained glass windows. Inside, the city noise fades away, replaced by a calming quiet that allows for a full appreciation of the craftsmanship from a bygone era.

Sunlight filters through 16 Tiffany windows, filling the space with dazzling kaleidoscope of blues, greens, and golds. Each window is a masterpiece, depicting biblical scenes, landscapes, and intricate floral designs that transform with the changing light.

Installed between 1898 and 1933, these windows showcase Louis Comfort Tiffany's signature Favrile glass, with rich textures that create the illusion of three-dimensional scenes. More than a place of worship, the church is a gallery where sunlight is the curator, casting new perspectives throughout the day.
