Yes, Banana's are Radioactive

Huh?

It’s true—bananas contain a tiny amount of radiation, thanks to potassium-40, a naturally occurring isotope found in their potassium-rich flesh. But don’t worry—it’s completely harmless.

In fact, bananas are so well-known for this that scientists created the “Banana Equivalent Dose” to explain small levels of radiation. One banana gives you about 0.1 microsieverts—you’d need to eat 10 million at once for it to be dangerous (please don’t).

Other foods like potatoes and nuts have natural radiation too. It’s a fun science quirk—not a health risk—so go ahead and enjoy your atomic snack.
