The Italian Duo Behind the World's Priciest Champagne

In 2022, Italian brothers Giovanni and Piero Buono purchased a magnum of Champagne Avenue Foch 2017 for $2.5 million, setting a record for the most expensive bottle of champagne ever sold. This unique sale included a non-fungible token (NFT) that granted the buyers digital art and intellectual property rights associated with the bottle's design.

Prior to this, in 2013, a bottle of Goût de Diamants, Taste of Diamonds, was sold for $2.07 million. This bottle featured a handcrafted 18-carat white gold label adorned with a 19-carat white diamond.

These extraordinary sales highlight the intersection of luxury, art, and digital assets in the world of fine champagne.
