Disneyland's Secret Night Shift: Feral Cats on Patrol

Photo of Disneyland with Fireworks

Disneyland has a colony of feral cats that quietly roam the park after dark to help control rodents. They’ve been around since the 1950s.

Disney provides food, shelter, and medical care to keep the population healthy.

During the day, the cats stay hidden in quiet spots because they prefer avoiding crowds, not because anyone makes them. At night, they patrol like tiny whiskered security guards.
