Nap Champs
Ants Sleep A Lot

Ants don’t sleep like we do. Instead of one long rest, worker ants take about 90 one-minute naps a day—power napping their way through life. These micro-naps add up to 4–5 hours of sleep, just enough to keep them building, foraging, and keeping the colony running smoothly.
Queens live differently. They get longer, more luxurious naps that total around 9 hours of sleep daily—a royal perk, literally.
There’s no bedtime in an ant colony. It runs 24/7, with ants resting in shifts. While some nap, others work, making the whole operation a nonstop, nap-fueled machine.
