Organizations That Support Peace

Photograph of the original constitution

Modern peace is not the absence of conflict. It is the result of systems that slow escalation, support dialogue, and reinforce shared norms. Much of that work happens quietly through non-partisan organizations focused on civic education, democratic institutions, diplomacy, and conflict prevention.

The organizations listed below reflect some of the ways these systems are supported today, often outside the spotlight.

Carnegie Endowment for International Peace

Focus: International affairs, diplomacy, and global security
Why it fits: and how international institutions and norms can help reduce escalation and promote stability.

National Constitution Center

Focus: Public education on the U.S. Constitution and democratic institutions
Educational rather than activist, grounded in historical and legal understanding of institutional restraint.

League of Women Voters
