Paris' Bubbly Secret

Free Sparkling Water on Tap!

Paris isn’t just the city of lights—it’s also the city of free sparkling water! Scattered around the city are special fontaines pétillantes that dispense fizzy water at no cost.

The first appeared in 2010 at the Jardin de Reuilly, thanks to Eau de Paris. It was such a hit that there are now at least 15 across the city.

How Do They Work?
These fountains chill tap water to 6°C (43°F) and infuse it with CO₂—giving you crisp, bubbly refreshment on demand.

Where to Find Them
For a comprehensive map of all drinking water fountains in Paris, including those offering sparkling water, you can visit the Eau de Paris website
